Welcome to ‘Quinta da Vida’ holiday homes in the eastern Algarve, Portugal
‘Quinta da Vida’ means ‘country living’, and sums up the beautiful area’s atmosphere and character. The large garden and its rural setting provide our guests with peace and quiet and the freedom to enjoy themselves.

Quinta da Vida is located in an old farm used mainly, in its previous incarnation at least, for pressing the local olives. Situated in the Eastern Algarve, the Quinta is quite close to Moncarapacho, a town half an hour’s drive away from Faro airport.
​
The Quinta houses five holiday apartments and our private house. When converting the beautiful old building as many old characteristics as possible were preserved whilst incorporating all the facilities expected of a modern holiday home. The thick natural stonewalls that keep you cool in summer whilst preserving heat in winter being an excellent example. Apart from all of the excellent facilities indoors, all of the holiday homes have a private patio as well as a BBQ, dining table and lounge sofa.

In the grounds around the Quinta there is a spacious garden with magnificent old trees and a shared swimming pool with sun loungers. There are large trees for climbing, where children can play and build huts. In addition there is an old, fully functional stone oven where you can bake your own pizzas!
The Quinta makes use of renewable energy sources, for example solar energy for heating the water and for the underfloor heating. Water is pumped up from an underground water source.

Who are we?

We are Gust (34) and Mayke (31) and our son Bob (1).
Quinta da Vida is our pride and joy! We moved here from the Netherlands in 2016 to follow our dream. Mayke is your hostess. Gust is both host and golf professional, giving golflessons here in the Algarve.
​
We are always on hand to assist and for tips and information. It goes without saying that we respect your privacy and that we do everything to ensure that you will enjoy your holiday.
