The renovation of Quinta da Vida

Quinta da Vida is set on the grounds of a former olive farm that once played an important role in the local olive oil industry. Olives were stored, pressed and processed here, producing the olive oil that was a vital source of income for the region for many years.

Much of this history can still be seen today. During the restoration, we carefully preserved as many original features as possible, allowing the story of the old farm to live on in the holiday homes of today. We reused the original roof tiles, installed traditional eucalyptus timber roof beams, and finished the ceilings with wooden panelling rather than plaster. Natural stone sinks and worktops add to the authentic character, while we spent a long time searching for carefully chosen vintage furniture to ensure the interiors reflect the unique atmosphere of the Quinta.

Quinta da Vida literally means "Farm of Life" – a name that perfectly captures the spirit of this special place. It's a place to enjoy the outdoors, spend quality time together, unwind and slow down, surrounded by nature, ancient olive trees and the peaceful rhythm of the Portuguese countryside. Here, a holiday really feels like a holiday.

Below you'll find a selection of photographs showing the Quinta before and during its restoration, offering a glimpse into the journey that transformed this historic olive farm into the place it is today.
